Ok, so the new redesigned 6r for 09 is looking pretty good. Discuss the new model here!



I'm really liking the supposed new suspension stuff. That sounds pretty cool. And you get a damper stock, also a plus.

Like the styling that puts it close to the 10r. The only bad things about the 10r and 6r are their respective stock cans. I wasn't gung ho about the bodywork at first, but it's grown on me. Too bad they don't let you do a test ride with the new years model at the IMS. But they should have plenty when we get it next month so I'll be sure to take a lot of pics.

Oh and they come in blue too!

Lots of people are bitching on the aesthetic qualities of it, but I don't think it's bad at all. Yeah, I probably would've went a different direction with the headlight, but that's apparently their new supersport trademark fascia, so whatever. (on the other hand I think the '09 650R has a very sexy headlight setup, reminds me a lot of 05-06 636)

With attack bodywork, the '09 6R looks beautiful. Stock can doesn't really bother me that much. I would love to check one out. Hopefully someone I know gets one. I have my '07 damn close to where I want it to be so I definitely won't be getting one, at least not for two years or so.

My favorite styling element has got to be the new tail section. Also dig the cute lil front fender.

Looking forward to reading some reviews on those big piston forks. Interesting stuff....

Funny enough, it's the flat black lower and the bullshit color choices that kills the bike. When I first saw it I was disgusted by it, but then I figured I'd PS the lower to a color-match just for kicks, and all of a sudden the thing was almost tolerable!




Now if only they could wipe the 'ugly' off it's face and fix the exhaust, they'd have a pretty mean lookin' bike!

Oh yeah, and they should offer it in Passion Red. The lack of red on a bike with those lines is a crime.

After finally seeing them in person I like it even more. yeah the exhaust has to go, but I like the greyish fork tubes. The handlebars and top of the forks seem a little different, looks like they're a tiny bit lower, but they look cool. Riding position is good. If I was looking for a 600 I would probably go and pick one of these up. I have pics in my IMS thread I posted up. They totally went for making it the little brother of the 10 in the looks department.

The ever growing emission restrictions plays a huge role.

I need to see one in person but the pictures of it for what ever reason look better than the new 10r.

go to mancuso powersports in Houston, they have 3 blue ones, one green and one black monster one with the green seat. All ready to roll! The blue looks really nice. Hmmmm, trade up my 636 perhaps for one! Nah, I like my cheaterbike!

someone at my work in the parking garage has an all black one. I saw it the other day. M4 exhaust on it, GPS mount and an Ohilins damper (are they stock this year or not, I definetly like their new mounting system, no more drilling the frame). Looks to be stock otherwise. I think its the guy who has a shitload of toys. The same guy that had that old 05 R1, the 04 10r, still has the 999, the 09 10r (green and black GP theme), and now an 09 6r. He must not be married!
